Ivy Cottage is run by Karen Wheatley from St Margaret's at Cliffe, Kent. This page explains what happens to any personal information you share with us through this website. The short version: we only use your details to reply to you and arrange your order, and we never sell them or pass them around.

What we collect

When you use our enquiry form we receive your name, your email address and whatever you tell us about your booking, such as dates, numbers of guests and any allergies or dietary needs. That's it. We don't ask for anything we don't need to bake for you.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange and deliver your order and keep a record of allergy information you've given us, which we take seriously. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you've clearly asked us to. Allergy details are used only to keep you safe and are never shared beyond what's needed to prepare your order.

Where it's stored

This website is built on Wix, so enquiries and site data are processed and stored on Wix's systems. You can read how Wix handles data in their own privacy policy at wix.com. We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to manage your order and our records, then delete them.

Like most websites, this site uses cookies, which are small files that help the site work properly and show us general visitor numbers. You can manage cookies through the banner when you first visit, or through your browser settings.

Social media

If you message us on Instagram or Facebook, those conversations happen on those platforms under their own privacy policies. We only see what you send us.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Just email karen@ivycottagecakeshed.co.uk and we'll sort it.
