A tea room without walls
I always wanted my own tea room. Instead, I built something better: one that travels. Everything is baked in the Ivy Cottage kitchen in St Margaret's at Cliffe, paired with vintage china collected piece by piece over the years, and brought to wherever your table happens to be.

Occasions
Every tea is shaped around its occasion.
Birthday spreads, baby showers, anniversaries, garden parties, or a Tuesday that needed rescuing.
Themes are welcome and encouraged, and if you ask for a Christmas tea you'll have my full attention, it's my favourite.
Delivery area
Free delivery within five miles of St Margaret's at Cliffe, which covers Kingsdown, Ringwould, St Margaret's Bay, Westcliffe, Martin Mill, East Langdon, Guston and into Deal, Walmer and Dover. Further out, from Eastry to Sandwich, is usually no trouble, just ask when you book.
FAQ's
How much notice do you need?
48 hours. For weekends, Mother's Day and Christmas, book earlier, those dates go first.
How far will you deliver?
Free within five miles of St Margaret's. Further is negotiable, just ask.
Can I get an afternoon tea to take away?
Yes. Takeaway afternoon teas come packed up beautifully to enjoy wherever you fancy: a clifftop picnic, a garden party, your own sofa. Just mention takeaway when you book.
Do you do cream teas?
We do. Fresh scones, clotted cream and jam, and whether cream or jam goes first is entirely your business.
Can you cater for allergies and diets?
Yes. Gluten free and vegan options are available on request, everything comes with full ingredient information, and we're allergen trained. Tell us everything we need to know when you book.
What happens to the china?
It arrives with your tea, looks lovely all afternoon and gets collected afterwards. You can also hire the china on its own for your own events, ask us about that.
Do I need to provide anything?
Just the table and the guests. We bring the rest.
